Oh what a weekend!

Hey everyone I'm back....the tornado really took a toll on our neighborhood this past Friday.  It was such a strange feeling for me, I wasn't really scared, but the thought kept passing through my mind how it just takes a second, and your whole life can change, as we listened to the tornado rip through our backyard. After the tornado passed we finally emerged from the basement, of course all the power was out so everything was pitch black, and all you could see was silhouettes of fallen tree's and power lines. That was the longest night I have ever known, there was the constant noise of generators, and people and cars going by. By morning everyone was out surveying the damages, which compared to some our's was nothing, we lost a few shingles and several large trees were completely uprooted in our yard, including power lines and poles, but just up the street, houses were knocked completely flat, and roofs were all over the place. And Lambert International Airport actually had to close down, for a time,  due to severe damage, (you could probably google it)Thank God no one in the disaster area were seriously hurt, there was only a few minor injuries including myself.... during the rush to the basement a heavy mental flashlight fell and broke my toe, that had been previously broken (many times before), but all is well and we have been spending the weekend cleaning it all up and helping each other out.
Here is a short clip I put together with some of the pictures I took.

I hope you all had a great Easter and are enjoying the weather 8~)

Take care of each other and know that many are thinking of you and so many others in the paths of the spring destruction. You were right when you said everything can change in an instant. I'm glad you're okay! Will keep you all in our prayers!
