OWHer's Day Out!

Our day out was officially yesterday evening, but I got home late, so haven't posted till now....... Anyways. My Mom and I met up with the Midwest shipper for OWH Kris Allan, and some other ladies, for dinner at a small Mexican restaurant called Las Palmos. I who am not big on Mexican food thoroughly enjoyed it! not to mention getting to meet up with these awesome ladies, and talking about our favorite hobby (and all our favorite scrap shops).

I also made 2 cards recently for Owh to be shipped soon, the first is the Famous "Vest card" Sandy Taught us how to make in her Ustream video 2 weeks ago.
Surprisingly it is very simple to make! all you do is:
1. Cut a piece of cardstock lengthwise at 4.25 x 8.5 and fold in half.

2. cut some patterned paper at 4.25 x 5.5 and fold in half sideways ( fold 4.25 to 1.75) cut a small bit diagonally of the top on the closed side and open back up. (if your adding embellishment now's the time before you adhere it) when you open up the fold you should see a "V" neck. Adhere to card base.

3. Cut a slit across the top in a slight U shape from one end of the neck line to the other. Once you cut the slit there is now a hole in the top cut straight down to the V (on the front piece only) and fold flaps over.  You now have a collar! For the armholes just use a circle nestie and trace a partial circle on both sides and trim away.

4. (optional) to create a pocket cut a 1 inch to 1.5 inches of 1 or 2 squares. and use a corner punch if desired for rounded pockets.

Also there are many different and fun variations that you can see if you watch Sandy's video Here Or you can
try to figure it out from my instructions which might be confusing. (:~) I Hope not!)

My 2nd card here is for 2 OWH challenges that I've entered for the first time using OWH's sketch #62

Materials for card 1: PP from K&C Company, Neenah Solar white cardstock, mini white brads, small corner punch. and walnut stain distress ink. Stamp: HA CL139 birthday messages.. Card 2 Materials; Unknown pp, and ribbon, Copics, the bone was hand cut. Stamps: HA E4333 Newton, S4878 old letter writing, CL139 Birthday messages.

Thanks For Stopping by!
