Dry Erasing Fun!

Well it's May already whaddaya know! we are nearly halfway through 2013.
To all you card makers out there, do you ever do more then just a card? Well if not it's time to step out of your comfort zone and let your mind soar with new idea's, once you have the hang of card making it is easy, and you are still using your same go to supplies as always.
This month on the Die Cut Diva's challenge blog, we are all about anything but a card,
When Arlene told the DT her plan, I was so excited! for me it was no challenge at all I just love doing paper crafts even if it isn't cards.

I had so many idea's it was hard to decide which to go with, then finally it came to me.
Now of course we all need calendars for our daily schedules and all, but I tend to get tired
of all the paper and booklets, I wanted one calender I could use over countless years, so I came up with the idea to make my own dry erase calender that was inter-changeable using die cuts and stamped images to dress it up each month.

The Trick: just use a laminator!
And I love the set of dry erase markers, it makes it easy to color code things with my notes that won't fit on the "date".
Now each month I can put up different images to decorate it, like I did with the little princess or I can add other dies to dress it up and make it fun.

Here is where I put mine up

I bought this cute cowgirl plaque awhile back for my room and thought it the perfect place to set it,
it has a very small ridge which was just the thing I needed to hold my calendar up.

If you don't use die cuts this calendar can still be made quite pretty and is a fun way to doodle.
Here everything is very simple, but still looks great,

There are countless ways you can have fun with it, whether you use pattern paper, dies, photographs, or even designs you created off your PC.

I hope this inspired you to make something new and fun, We the DCD team would love to have you stop by and join in our monthly challenges,  Hop On Over and Join Today!
