2 weeks till Christmas and where AM I!

Hello and Welcome to my Blog,
Today is December 9th with only 2 weeks till Christmas and I have just know started making cards (at least I did the shopping last month or this would be bad) I hope to have more made by tomorrow but who knows.... So for now here is my cards and their details:

This snowman here is a new clear stamp I recently bought at my LSS... actually he came out last year during the holiday season but was bought out immediatly but this year I found him quite by accident and he was the last on the shelf too. You ask, "what is so special about this stamp ?"
well he is a strechy snowman made by Stampendous, and strechy as in you can stamp him tall and skinny, short and fat, or even melting, that is what I call cool!

This second one here was actually inspired by winter herself(though it isn't officially winter yet)
the swirls represent the howling wind blowing the snow around. what I did here was stamp the swirls on blue shimmer paper with chestnut roan and color the insides with a white watercolor pencil. As to the actual swirly stamp I don't know which company made it, A friend gave it to me.
But the sentiment is part of a clear Hero Arts set CL232 Jolly Christmas.

For this one I used more stamps from the CL232 Jolly Christmas set. And for some reason this picture didn't turn out very good, but here is what I did to make it:
for the snowy hills I took 2 pieces of white paper and tore the tops unevenly, then I layered them and glittered the edges(unfortunatly you can't see the glitter) and the blue piece I dotted with white pencil marks to appear like snowflakes, as for rudolph I used a gem for his nose and you may notice he has no antlers, that is because I do horrible at cutting out tiny details, so I gave him stubbs instead. LOL.

Here is another card using the CL232 Jolly Christmas. All I did here was emboss the card with a cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, then added a strip of red paper with gold ribbon and a sentiment.

For this last one I used another Hero Arts clear set, borrowed from my mother, so at the moment I don't have the item number, but what I did was cut a strip out of the card and replaced it with a piece of acetate embossing the stamps in gold.

So yeah that's all I got done and I'm already running out of idea's, it's so hard to keep up with chores, school, and cardmaking, not to mention the holidays. I don't ever remember being this busy! Anyway I hope you enjoyed these cards because they will be soon mailed off to 5 lucky(or unlucky 8 ~) people. OH MY GOODNESS and before I forget Over on the Hero Arts blog there is lots going on and on their flickr group is a little frog prince hunt, check them out and go see!

I great thing about sending out cards for Christmas is you can make more than one of each. Nobody every sees what you send to other people so make duplicates of what you have already designed! Great cards Han! Great cards! Oz
