Trying to Catch up

Hello All,
I haven't been keeping up with posting here or even commenting on all the Awesome cards in the HA flickr pool lately. I don't know what it is but I have been going absolutley card crazy not leaving room for much else 8 ). I find to that my cards are getting better and less juvenille looking, which is a relief, and my cards are getting to be more and more recognized which proves it!
Just the other day I created a youtube account and should have a video soon, Tomorrow I get up at 5am for school and get on a proper schedule, eat 3 meals instead of 1 or 2, leave comments on the cards over in the flickr pool, make a few, read my favorite daily comics. Then Start all over.
Wow I think thats it! that doesn't sound alltogether too bad. I guess I will try to be back tomorrow 8~) Until then cya later and thanks for stopping by.

I'm on a Roll!

I must be going card crazy! I have made lets see(yes I made so many I lost count)...About 27 cards since January 1st. I just might beat my yearly card making record within the next 2 months!
Here is my latest card and I have to say my best,
Making this card was fun yet complicated.
I first took a piece of cream colored paper, and stamped it with Hero Arts cg143 horizontal lines in versamark( a clear ink).
I then distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink "Tea dye" took a sponge and rubbed the ink over the stamped lines.
After this I chose another stamp made by Hero Arts (infact all stamps on this card are HA)
cg120 and stamped this with versamark over the distressing and first stamp, and then once again but with a creamy brown chalk ink.
On another peice of paper I stamped the heart winged butterfly f5158 colored it in with copics and cut it out, placed it on the distressed piece raising the wings, then hand drew the butterfly trail.
Next I got a piece of brown paper and stamped the entire piece with the lace backround s5341, placed the distressed piece on the brown with gold ribbon and stamped the sentiment cl380 from the truly appreciated clear set.
Done! But I dont think I could have done this good if I didn't watch a video on youtube made by my friend Linda (aka Oz)on distressing cards; I suggest you click HERE watch her video and subscribe, She also has a pretty cool blog HERE too.
Thanks for Stopping by 8~ )

The Last of the Stash for the Oz vs Hannah Challenge

Yes I did it! I finished my stash from Deborah's blog morsel! this was so Wonderful in so many different way's. First of all I have many buttons, ribbons and patterned paper that have sat in my room untouched. Yet I have finished all of Deborah's color co ordinating stash from her blog morsel reward in only 2 weeks, while my own things sit idle. Now off to show the works.........

Life Is A Journey Through Time

This little clock has it's own little story, I was sitting there trying to make a card with all the circles I cut out and nothing would go together, as I looked around I saw my Hero Arts acrylic clock set and tried putting that on the card. Suddenly the Idea came to me to make my own clock using one of the patterned paper circles, a brad, a twisty tie and a button. How some people can get their inspiration is fascinating!

Memories Last Forever

This here is an album cover I made, and now that I have it up and posted I realized that my "plus 1 butterfly is missing. Lol so this one isn't finished yet.

This card here is a scrapling using up the last bits of paper,

with nothing more than an added touch of a brown ginham ribbon

Simply Stylish

for this one I stamped the card base with my Hero Arts horizontal cling stamp CG143, a paper scrap, my last bit of ribbon (from the stash) and the last of the 3 buttons.

Super Awesome

Here I just used the stickers the best way I could, really not a whole lot to it.

I Love You ( in my own horrible handwritting)

I just Loved coloring this couple in with my Copic's

Another Scrapling
Just another scrapling with a green ribbon
Left over Stickers and paper pieces

That's all this is and not much more 8 )

Itty Bitty Card

here I used one of my die cut tags, some of the ribbon and stamped the blue backround piece with my Hero Arts design block Lace backround S5431 (the butterfly stamp is just to compare the size)

U Rock
a Complete failure but since I used one of the papers I thought I'd show it and count it as one of the others.

A Notebook Label

Here I used the remaining stickers ans pieces of the plaid paper I stamped the Blue piece with my horizontal lines CG143 in versa mark.

This my Friends is the last of my Stash from Deborah, I made a total 0f 17 things!( I say "things" because not all are cards) that is the most I have Ever done within 2 weeks, I dont think I'll be beating the record anytime soon.
Thank's so Much Linda for Coming up with this idea, it actually helped me be able to look at my stash and come up with idea's that I never would have thought of before as well as helping me be able to use my own things now.
And Thank's to Deborah for the morsel. She is infact having another blog morsel giveaway, right now and today is the last day so please go to her blog and check it out. here is Linda's blog as
well

Linda and I will be back with mr linky as soon as we figure out how to use it so
until then Have a Great Weekend!

the 2nd package was from Oz, she sent me this Beautiful Card with a little stamp.

Thank You Alice and Linda!

And lastly here are my 2 cards for our little challenge, my stash is slowly but surely diminshing, it will be sad to see it all go I was having fun even though it was hard at times.

My Critic's(Mom and Dad) were not satisfied with this one, the said it was just to busy. But I actually kinda' like the busy look.

For This one I went completly Crazy not much caring how it turned out, and now I don't even know what to think of it. So if my Online Critics would give their opinion for both cards I will appreciate it.

Till next time Enjoy!

STL Weather and Cards

First off....Brrrrrrrr, acording to my weather button on this laptop it is currently only 4 degree's outside, the coldest it's been in Saint Louis since 1999. Children are not being allowed outside and hospitals are getting prepared for possible cases of hypothermia. That is super cold!

As to my card making, I am stumped. I am having trouble again figuring out my layout and with my challenge its even harder using the specific pieces. Not to mention I have to make 4 birthday cards for this month. Linda is doing so much better she can look at her supllies and immediatly whip up a masterpiece. Oh well, here are my newest creations....

This bookmark was made out of the scraps from the card below for the plaid piece I used a border die cut from cuttlebug. Everything here is from Deborah's Package minus the stamped poem.

and here is.....OH looky here I managed to make a birthday card for my Friend Ria!(Meriah)

I really need a desk light! I can't get good pictures very often, and usually I take my cards all through the house before I find a decent spot. This is the card I was having such a hard time with, but then I found the perfect stamp for a fancy backround. I guess I should've done it in white just so it was visible, but I just love the subtle look with versamark.

Can't wait to see what you come up with next Linda!

Have a Great "Warm" Week. And Thanks for the Comments.

A Fun Lil' Challenge

A while back...I put my name on mr linky set up by Deborah, for a chance to win a little package of paper goodies. And what you had to do was nominate someone else for a card/creation by them giving us both a chance to win. so when the time came for the drawing I was chosen and the prize went to me and Linda. (who I nominated) As a result she came up with the Idea that we make our own little challenge out of it.

Linda and I were both sent this package and what we are going to do is see how much we can
make out of it,

we have no particular time set for finishing but will go on till all the materials are used up. And will be posting our creations on flickr tagged with "OzvsHannah", and probably posting them on our blogs as well. So what we'll do is just use any of it however we like and no matter the size as long as we are using something from the package.
If you would like to observe you can do the following;

go to Linda's(or Oz's) Blog and/or flickr photostream.

go to my Blog and/or flickr photostream.

Here's my first Creation for our challenge

This is just a little door hanger I thought would be cute on my door. You can see from the above pictures what materials I used from the package, but I will add the girl image was also sent by Deborah and I colored her in with my new copics and added the little raccoon( a hero arts stamp) behind her back. Lol she has a mischevious wink so I thought so I thought he would make a great addon.

And her is a closeup of the two michevious rascals 8 ~ )

Have a Great Week!

and Thank You for the much appreciated comments.
